LINK1104: cannot open file '.\temp_*' on running rustlings watch

On attempting to run rustlings watch, the linker will fail during the compilation of random exercises looking for temp files. The exercises it fails on is random, and the temp files it fails to find are different every time. There is no impact on whether or not I have an editor open or closed, and there seems to be nothing I'm able to do to fix the issue.

I've tried rebuilding/reinstalling rustlings, and readding it to my path, but this does not resolve the issue either.
