Footnotes only include text on the same line

If you make a footnote, in the body of the footnote only the text on the same line is considered. If you force a manual wrap of the text, long footnote bodies get truncated. Perhaps subsequent lines indented at the same level as the first line's text (excluding the footnote tag) should be considered a continuation?

I'm using blackfriday with hugo and also have this issue. Any news on this?
