Charging issues after extended use at 80%

I liked the idea of a better battery management so i sticked with batfi for a few months since i mostly work plugged-in i almost always kept my battery at 80% as suggested by default. I then started noticing unexpected shutdowns with 25-30% battery left on the rare times i used it extensively, so i tried switching the battery cap feature and found that the battery charge percentages were all over the place and took hours to finally stop charging even if 100% got displayed. Is this a potential issue? Is it a fault on my part or is it normal and still better than keeping it charged at 100% all the times? Macbook m3 max, macos sequoia 15.4

I'm guessing it's a battery miscalibration issue when you stay on the 80% limit for too long. Al Dente, another battery charging monitor tool, has a calibration feature where it'll occasionally discharge the battery below 15%, charge to 100%, wait for an hour then discharge to the set limit. Perhaps you can try to calibrate your battery and see if it helps.

...maybe BatFi can inherit this feature? :)
