Calendar responsiveness
The calendar is not truly responsive. When viewed on a mobile phone screen, the full width is not visible. This could be due to the name of the day, too long: Saturday, May 23, 2020.
This should either break on two lines (not very space efficient) or (rather) short date should be used (Sat, May 23; the year is rather useless, at least for the current year).
Plus:
- The "three bar icon" for menu is not visible in the view.
- There is no button to switch between the day/week/... views.
This seems to apply to weekly/daily view: the monthly view seems fine:
But I can see why you're having trouble switching between the view modes: in daily/weekly view, the length of the date indeed overlaps over the hamburger menu (three bar icon):
When reachable, the view modes are switchable:
Tested on Firefox on Android with a 1920x1080 5.2" screen. The daily/weekly view indeed needs work.
In all the views the day names should be in their short form: Saturday > Sat. This would prevent strings like "S... May" and "S... May", having the meaning of Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
Should the app talk our languages, based on the "main" language defined in the browser?
Yeah, this would definitely help, especially on mobile.
We don't do any localization or internationalization in Runbox7 currently – until we do, I don't think it makes much sense to localize weekday names only.
