Treeflection inflicted issues

There are a bunch of ways to either crash or put something into a broken state via treeflection commands. Ideally these will all be fixed but for some of them there is substantial work involved and other trade offs that make fixing them unpleasant.

So for the mean time I will just keep track of them here:
