Large xml filelists don't parse?

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Downloaded a file list from a microdc2 client

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I expected to see and browse file listings, instead I got an empty window.

Please use labels and text to provide additional information. The filelist has been correctly downloaded at ~/Library/Application Support/ShakesPeer/.files.xml.nickname.bz2 and its extracted version exists, however the file size is 175 KB (sharing many directories under one parent) and the xml was generated by microdc2 without tab or line breaks (not sure if that's relevant).
