Humps for Days - Extremely slow frame rate, high RAM usage if on desktop app (NSFW)

Open JimCarlTay opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

Describe the bug

Once the animation has finished loading, the framerate feels like a literal slideshow.

If on the browser, it slows the page down to a crawling halt unless I go to another page. If the downloaded .swf file is loaded on the desktop app (December 15, 2024 nightly build), it will cause RAM usage to surge up until it is almost used up or lead to memory leaks, freezing the app to the point I have to close it to save RAM.

While this issue applies to the browser extension, this also applies to the desktop app.

Expected behavior

That the frame rate is stable and the animation does not cause anything odd with RAM usage or browser page/emulator stability.

As of the June 10, 2025 nightly build (browser extension): The animation now runs well unless you focus on another tab. If so, it will cause the animation to freeze. I'm not sure if enabling Turbo Boost on my CPU (Intel Core i5-12400) helped, but it probably did. I can also say the same for the desktop app (June 11, 2025 nightly build).
