It seems that there is a bug in the current version of Venus where images that are very large span beyond the page margin. Ideally images would be automatically resized...
Case in point, mathjax from blogger feeds.
WP Engine (and perhaps other blog hosts) reject HTTP requests that don't have a user-agent field in the header. Planet Venus issues such requests for feeds when spider_threads > 0.
