Russian translation revival — starting with latest news
Hello Ruby team!
I’ve started reviving the Russian localization of ruby-lang.org.
The first PR (translation of RubyGems Repository Transition) is here: https://github.com/ruby/www.ruby-lang.org/pull/3643
My plan:
- Translate all 2025 news
- Gradually restore previous years (2024 → 2021)
Translation plan
1. Batch Translations – I’ll translate news articles by month and submit them in a single PR. – Each news will be a separate commit within the PR (atomic and easier to review). – Fresh news will be translated out of order in separate PRs to ensure faster publication.
2. Updating Other Pages – I’ve found a few outdated sections compared to the English version. – I’ll prepare separate PRs to synchronize the content.
3. Review & Feedback – I’m open to any comments, suggestions, or improvements to the process.
Since the last Russian translation of the news was published in 2021, would it be helpful if I briefly explain the motivation?
@ablzh Thanks for your proposal. Can you do the next steps? If there is no response from Russian translation team, I will add you that team with write permission.

Hello @hsbt, It has been a month since our last discussion, and it seems there has been no response from the current translation team. I continue to translate the news as planned (ant other pages), and do PR as soon as the whole month is ready.
