Rake gives "NameError: undefined method `extend_object' for class `Singleton'" error for all rake commands

I was trying to use rake to automate some tasks which did not work, I tried calling the task manually, which gave me a list of warnings followed by an error, the error came on all rake commands, including rake -v

rake aborted!

I could not find solution for this anywhere, my ruby version is 2.7.0

Hi...

It will be really difficult to get any help without a reproducible steps, the maintainers and collaborators need a way to see what the problem is. With the lines posted it's complicated.
