little problem - typo
sorry it was of course ANDROID not ARDUINO project
hello friend, Your project is very good, but it needs improvement. It could become a good bridge between man and machine. If you allow, I will explain:
- STT and TTS in the same code is very good, let it stay that way.
- A voice connection to another machine such as an Arduino (ESP32) is often required. A very good method is to use Bluetooth Serial or USB or both. You can send a text from the Bluetooth (USB) Serial terminal and the text will be spoken on the other side. After all, the text can be forwarded very easily on various communication channels.
- The Bluetooth channel for both reception and transmission has the same name. Android just needs to be paired with it to start work.
- PTT (Push to Talk) button is required to start a call. It's a virtual screen button and it would be nice to be able to use the volume buttons as well. VOX wouldn't be bad either. The button toggles between broadcast and reception status.
- Making the speech visible is also necessary. Incoming and outgoing text can be placed in separate windows, but they can also be written under each other using different colors.
- This system can be used to communicate with different machines. Not only to give commands but also to listen to the answer. An example. Cars, boats, radio equipment, smart home, etc.
- And of course, the ability to choose languages is necessary.
- I think that such an app arouses great interest. I have yet to see anything to disprove that idea. It may be made available on Google Play. Also for money. But it can also be distributed as an apk outside GP.
- In any case, if developed further from its current state, this would be a valuable app. Thank you for that!
