Odd behaviour on epel7
On epel7 rsyslog is started through systemd. For this, rsyslog needs to be started with the -n command line parameter.
In the package configuration files, this parameter is not given anywhere. Still, rsyslog will be started through systemd just fine.
This needs to be investigated.
To be a bit more preciese, the statartup under systemd is controlled by .service files. As this, the init files in a default setup have no meaning at all. It looks like the package simply works by virtue of the system preinstalled service files.
So it needs to be found out who should be responsible for distributing the service files.
