package development: no "bleed area"

Open jennybc opened this issue 3 years ago • 0 comments

I'm having some hard copies printed of the newly revised package development cheatsheet, to test drive in rstudio::conf(2022) workshops.

My local print shop says:

Attached are two low res print proofs for your job. Your file does not have a bleed area so the file will be cropped 1-2mm at the edges which leads to some elements being too close to the edge.

If this looks good to you, reply with “agree” and we can get started on your order.

If not, are you able to send a file with bleed?

I have approved the proofs for the small print run that I am doing, since the cheatsheet is still usable and is absolutely "good enough" for use in the 2 package dev workshops.

I know we will tweak this content again soon, based on feedback from, e.g., conf. Before this cheatsheet is considered "done" and printed in more official ways, maybe we should deal with this bleed area thing? Presumably this notion cuts across all the cheatsheets? Do we just not worry about it?
