Resizable sidebar for gitbook ?

Can advice on way we can add resize sidebar using mouse on gitbook without modifying bookdown template?

Gitbook format does not have this feature. You only have a button to show / hide the navbar. I don't think the current strucutre (<nav> element with <ul>) allows to add such feature using CSS or JS. At least, I don't know enough about that.

I don't think this would be easy if possible, especially without modifying template (usually one need to use column grid layout for such feature I believe).

If anyone knows, they can comment, but we won't probably add this feature in bookdown format directly. You can ask also on Q&A website maybe by asking directly about CSS / HTML and JS as this won't invove R code or bookdown directly.

I'd love to see further improvements made to the Gitbook template along these lines, or if it's easier, then another template that is similar to Gitbook, rather than the Bootstrap template.

If anybody else is interested in this, please let me know.
