Use external sensors connected to HA

Is is possibile to simulate a sun sensor connected to the motor using a sensor connected to Home Assistant? Idea would be to avoid having to pay 200+€ for Somfy sun sensor and implement the same function using a zigbee sensor. I have a wind sensor connected to the motor so I'm not sure how to manage a possible conflict between HA telling the motor to go open the awning and the wind sensor telling it to close it. I think the best way to mange it would be to add the zigbee sun sensor as some kind of virtual sensor to ESPSomfy-RTS and let it handle the situation but don't know if it's possibile.
