Roll a Snap release for 0.98

Opening an issue for the snap of the new release. It didn't work out of the box so I don't want to lose sight/track of this task!

I'm nearly sure that the problem is this one that has been open on the snapcraft forums for ages. tl;dr there was a change in the format of the cache file in fontconfig. However the fontconfig is inside the snap and the cache file is on the user's system, and things go wrong.

I don't think we'll release for snap again after this experience.
