I did split out the target profiles into separate yaml files under target/.

I flushed out some structure for targets, and a hardcoded 'tfp' targets value. These should appear in attributes now for each sensor. Not sure if this is useful, feel free...

Agreed, option 2 sounds like a preferred way forward. I read over how X1 Plus works and it is so nice to leave basically everything with the stock firmware alone...
