Wired headset button trigger not working

I am trying to assign either Wired Headset - Button Single Press or Button Short Hold to an action, however all it does is hang up the call if I'm on one, or start some music playing, as would be expected without Activator.

This is on iPhone 5, 7.1.2 and activator 1.9.0. It's reproducible every time for me.

Last time this worked my phone was on 6.1.2.

FYI the action I'd like to assign is Call Mute from Jerry En.
