This is a prototype of the idea in #117

What do you think of this?

If this looks good i will go through and update all the examples!

There's some build failures, and we should pull traits from the source (embedded-hal) rather than the weird duplicate the rustc suggests (something something cortex-m thing-with-underscores). But I really like the idea (it was on my todo list).

Since this pull request is relative to a very old version of rp2040-hal, and it seems like the core idea of this PR was actually implemented in the mean time. @JoNil, can we close this PR?
