browser.tabs.remote.autostart broken.
I should see multiple firefox.exe processes showing in the task manager, but I only see one with it enabled.
Using SSE build on XP x64.
I only see one with it enabled.
you can't make it in multi-process mode just by setting browser.tabs.remote.autostart to true in 45esr. even same behavior in official 45.9.0esr.

How do I enable it then?
How do I enable it then?
no clue from me, you may need to figure it out by yourself, since I don't use multi-process mode

Why do you think I asked?
Why do you think I asked?
why you asked a function that I don't use?
you may have a look on mozilla's wiki page for details, it may work or not, YMMV. https://wiki.mozilla.org/Electrolysis

The page states that e10s is "unsupported" on XP/Vista, so there's probably something in the code blocking it from working.

that code same code as mozilla's and you may possible to "force-enable" it like in official versions.
Did more research, it existed since before 45, but it was only allowed to be enabled in release copies of 48+. So there's some sort of limiter here.
I want to try to enable it in ArcticFox, but it doesn't enable - in PaleMoon and TenFourFox it is explcitely removed. I imported a big deal of e10s patches, just wonder how it would fare (bad, most probably...)

Why is it disabled in TenFourFox?
Apparenlty thread and processes have serious issues when used on older macs (10.6 IIRC) and Windows XP and perhaps vista, so it was disabled for a long time, at one point FF made it mandatory. I think it cannot work on 10.4 - for more details, as Cameron, who is winding down TenFourFox anyway.
I'd like to try ArcticFox with e10s just to see how far it goes at least on linux, so just for test purpoeses, but I fear that having forked from palemoon 27 we still miss something, even if I re-imported literally hundreds of e10s related patches.
