buttons not mapping where I want them

i'm using the 8BitDo zero 2 and my d-pad is doing whatever it want - regardless of what I map it for it will do something else, every time the add on is updated it all stops working as well, i have to spend another 30+ mins trying to configure it to do something, it seems to delete my settings everytime

the option to move buttons if the add-on recognises them as the wrong button doesn't work, i change them and it just resets every time i'm on windows 11
