Can't switch between Details and Tree views using menu

The "View > Details View" and "View > Tree View" are constantly greyed out and the keyboard shortcuts don't work either. The buttons in the top bar work fine though (but it took me a couple of days to realise that).

Thanks for a marvellous app that I use every day!

Confirmed. I haven't found any way to get the menu options or the keyboard shortcuts to become active.

I had the same problem on Mac OS X 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion). Upgraded to Yosemite (10.10) and keyboard shortcuts work again.
