gitx didn't open on call from shell on mac osx 10.10

i get the following error: Unable to open GitX.app

GitX version 0.15.1964 ((null)) Using git found at /opt/local/bin/git, version 2.1.2

I have also been hitting this error since I upgraded to Yosemite. I'm using the system git in my case.

I have tried running "Enable Terminal Usage..." again with no effect.

However, if I open GitX first via clicking on the app, then calling it from the command-line correctly focuses it and loads the repository I am in.

Seems like there's either some changes in the Apple Scripting Bridge or the sandboxing restrictions on 10.10 that need to be taken into account.
