I'm sure this is not the correct forum for tech support discussion but this page came up when I searched for it. Please direct me to the correct place.

Google Pixel (1, not 2) Android 7.1 (Nougat, API 25)

Trying to install Xposed using the Installer. Get this error: cp: can't create '/system/xposed.prop': Read-only file system Error 1 occurred

But I can manually go into /system and create files in there, so this message about "read-only" must be incorrect.
