Landed here from a thread on xmrig and wondering where you are at with this project. Are you still researching approaches or have you started any POCs? Wondering if you're thinking of basing this on any existing miners or if you're starting from scratch.

Following as well. I've seen no progress here, but I know someone's working on a miner that uses apples native metal API, but it's not open source, and mining with someone's closed source binary is not a stellar idea. https://xcreate.com/macminer/

Used the contact form on their site to ask about open sourcing MacMiner and this was their response:

I'll open source it once I stop actively developing it. If you're concerned about the app or apps in general, you should check out Lulu the firewall app for Macs, or Wireshark to monitor the internet calls.

Yeah I want to be clear I'm not accusing it of being nefarious, I just like the mindset that more hands can contribute to the effort if it were open source the whole time. Seems to be a model that's worked out well for other miners.
