Can't save config anymore?
After adding edit button patch, I can't save my config anymore
the registry seems to be ignored
is this deleted?

TranslucentSM config is temporary, does not write registry. (edit: even doesn't read) after relaunch, all slider is become 100, and checkbox is turned off. I was suspect administrator/SYSTEM privilege because its HKCU registry wouldn't be same with my account's HKCU. I used to launch some exes as administrator and my startup scheduler did let TranslucentSM launches as SYSTEM. but even I normally double clicked TranslucentSM as MY privilege, the application still doesn't save config.
actually—I have transfered its HKCU config key to HKLM before config button update... and reverted. would this cause?? I already tried reinstall few times so I didn't think that's the cause
you might need to delete HKCU\Software\TranslucentSM key, the app sets specific permissions when it creates that key, to make uwp apps be able to write to it
