@tmaurer3 I believe it should be Esri's job to maintain that piece of code in GDAL. I maintain enough code like that. Or maybe @lucianpls or @rprinceley can do that....

I somehow reproduce the issue, but in a different way. The CRS does get exported, but the geometry not. I see an error "Warning 1: Infinite or NaN coordinate encountered"...
