ok, so it seems this is dependent of the SWIG version. I don't get the error message with SWIG 4.0.2, but I do get it with 4.1.1
"fix" in https://github.com/OSGeo/gdal/pull/7951. I guess we should keep this issue opens to remind revisiting the status of https://github.com/swig/swig/issues/2638 and potentially removing the workaround as it is far from ideal
