Merge experimental into master

What do you think the state of experimental is at the moment. Is it ready to be merged into master, so that can be the new branch to work off?

Before merging we should probably tag a maintenance release of the most current code in master.

I think it can be a beta, but its not stable

some bug fixes related to table functions and draw line methods. Also several tests related to fonts are recommended

Ok. Then it should probably be kept experimental for a little while still until at least the table functions and draw line methods are working properly.

@ole1986 Could you open the know issues on the 0.13 milestone - then I can try to tackle some of the issues.
