New 3DS XL or 2DS XL?

Hey there, you mentioned this is only for the original 3DS XL. Is it verified that this won't work with the New 3DS XL or 2DS XL? Do they not have the space for it? I wonder if it's possible to modify the design so it would work.

I have just successfully installed one on the New 3DS but I looked at the motherboard for the New 2DS XL and it doesn't seem to have the space for this breakout. There isn't enough clearance between where the port should be and the battery tray in the N2DS XL. I also looked at the board for the N3DS XL and it looks like it would NOT work because of clearance with other SMDs right next to the charging port.

By the way, do you think this connectors should work? https://imgur.com/a/dYrni2B I could find these in a local e-commerce site (the only ones available I guess) and it'll be way cheaper to order from China.

@Ardakilic I’m no expert, but they seem to have a nearly identical footprint to the ones I was using. I’d give it a try.
