package to make it easier to pull data from The Australian Bureau of Meteorology
A package similar to rnoaa[https://www.google.com.au/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=rnoaa%20cran] to make it easy to get data from the Australian Bureau of Meterology.
Myself and a few others from Australia will be working remotely on this alongside @hrbrmstr, and look forward to beginning at 2am on Friday night Australia time!
Sounds great!
I'm trying to find if there is a good API for Indian government weather data but I think there's not any. I'm a bit jealous!
Example: http://www.imdpune.gov.in/Weather/weatherrealised.html
I would love to help with this. Also, I have some students working with @sckott's rnoaa for projects. We love the package, and I would love to help by working on the documentation to get others in and using the package as easily as possible (and just in general helping out however I can with that package).
OK draft package is up: https://github.com/tierneyn/bomr
It doesn't work...yet. But it contains some of the ideas in the folder ./example_docs/
Miles, Jessie and Myself will be along virtually from Australia, look forward to seeing you all!
I am so making a logo for bomr. Mebbe a B52 going into a raincloud or something :-)
