If you describe a bit more what you have in mind, and if you would like some help, I could give a try in the next two weeks. Do you mean something like "How to make a great location map for your next publication with osmdata (and ggplot2)?"

Thanks for the kind offer @ec-nebi, your help would be very much appreciated! What I had in mind there was a vignette demonstrating all of the possible ways of plotting, something like (in no particular order):

1. Interactive plotting#1: mapdeck
2. Interactive plotting#2: mapview
3. Interactive plotting#3: Shiny/rmarkdown/...
4. Static plotting#1: osmplotr
5. Static plotting#2: ggplot2 + geom_sf

You'd be very welcome to jump in and make a start on any of those!
