is it possible for the notifications to disappear after a configurable time?

That is possible - however, currently there is no way to get information about whether the user read the notification.

I'll update to remove after set time and let your know.

I apologize for the delay, I stopped working on this for a while. I will let you know as soon as I am done. I am hoping I will finish it by tomorrow.

when I run npm install i get

npm WARN [email protected] No repository field. npm WARN [email protected] No license field.
