Gallery Cache does not expire as expected

Open tspycher opened this issue 10 years ago • 5 comments

I'm having this strange issue on the following page: http://holzbau-tschopp.ch where the gallery on the mainpage does never expire. This has as a result an outdated gallery. Currently i have to manually delete the cache in the Plugin Settings by hitting "Clear Cached Galleries" Button. The Cache expire Setting is on 6 hours without an effect.

Wordpress and the Plugin are on the latest versions.

Any advice would be appreciated

I have the same problem on one of my blog sites (my daughters blog). On the other site it's working fine (my sons blog).

The same with my (private) blog. The gallery does not update automatically. I have to manually delete the cached gallery, if I want new pictures to be displayed.

I am having the same issue. I thought it had something to do with the WP Super Cache plugin, but disabling WP Super Cache doesn't fix the issue.

In the meantime, I solved the problem by installing another (newer) theme at my wordpress blog. I used a quite old one ("Digg 3 Columns, Version 1.0.2") and changed now to "Twenty Thirteen, Version 1.4". With this new theme, the gallery cache expired as expected and every new picture is shown on the blog. So I assume this is a topic related to themes in some way.

Installed version 3.5.3 and I am having the same issue. No automatic refresh of the flickr folder. Also I don't see any files in the wp-content/plugins/awesome-flickr-gallery-plugin/cache folder. Is that correct?
