[Feature] Rom renaming feature as an admin tool
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. If you miss the option to rename a rom file during the import phase, there's no way to use the rename rom function again without going to individual files and removing them / re-matching them
Describe the solution you'd like A feature to either select individual roms, or bulk select roms and rename to match metadata source from the admin menu
Describe alternatives you've considered Removing / re-matching roms one at time per system to pick up any missed roms
Additional context Renaming after the fact / bulk updating gives more RomM more management functionality for your library
I would love to have this and some kind of bulk renaming!
That's a must have feature !
I ended up creating a duplicate of this not long ago. But I think my description of a possible solution can add some missing details to this request, so here it is :)
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. I just noticed my games collection is a mess, the names are all over the place... And I doubt I am the only one with a bunch of misnamed files. You know what would be great? A button in the game page to rename the files according to already matched rom metadata. Like for example "Rename to match IGDB" or "Rename to match provider XYZ". And If possible, have an option to apply that to a whole collection/platform/selection.
Describe the solution you'd like
Rename single files to match the format expected by Romm, with the title pulled from a selected provider.
If multiple files, rename all files that can be renamed.
If inside a folder, rename the folder too!
Describe alternatives you've considered Manually doing the work is possible but very discouraging once you hit hundreads or thousands of games.
Additional context N/A
I hope this feature is customizable like in Radarr or Sonarr so i can build my own naming schema
