[Feature] Create multiple notes in a game page

Open miltuss opened this issue 9 months ago • 19 comments

Romm currently allows you to create a single note in Markdown. Notes are extremely valuable for storing important information about a game's installation, archiving the original article, or using a mod guide.

But it's complicated to use a single note to write all these elements at once. It would be much more practical to be able to create several notes and give them specific titles to better organize and easily find all your notes.

The various notes could be arranged vertically like a drop-down FAQ. Clicking on a note would unfold its contents. This would allow for a clear visualization of the notes with customizable titles, quick access to the part of the notes that interests us, and better organization of the notes.

Hi, until we build that feature, you can always use the <details> element for markdown to have collapsible elements to organize better your notes.

I'm very interested in a multi-note system, I really hope it will be available in version 4

@zurdi15 When will this feature be integrated into romm?

We don't work with timelines, so sadly no answer for that

I also need to use multiple notes for each game

@SunriseWind what's your use case?

what's your use case?

I would like to write the installation steps and tips for each mod in each note

SunriseWind avatar Jun 04 '25 23:06 SunriseWind

it's markdown, add sections with # and dividers with <hr />

No, this is not practical at all, Romm users should have the ability to create multiple notes for each game like what the author described in the issue summary

My point is most things you can do in multiple notes can be done in 1 note. We'll work on this if there's a good use case for multiple notes, like keeping 1 private and making the others public.

I'd love to see this happen.
