[Feature] Built-in compression tools
Essentially just some built-in tooling to help compress Roms to keep the overall size of a collection down.
This could be part of the upload process, it could be some specific tooling that has to be triggered like a library scan. I can think of multiple flows it can be part of, just feel like it’d be a nice touch for an ever growing collection.
This would especially be nice for PSP games since a lot of them can be played in compressed CSO format. I would love to see some sort of way to downsize my library without removing games.
However, compressing things usually means it'll take longer to load and can cause combability issues with emulators. RomM could be set up to uncompress the rom/game as you are downloading it.. but this adds even more complexity not necessary. I doubt the space saved by compression would even be worth the extra time taken for compressing/decompressing.
I will post a guide which is what we recommended to keep in compressed formats. You will always need to check what file types or compressed file types your emulator supports. This guide is pretty good

Because playnite and muOS app work just fine when pulling from my compressed file types which are 2 plugins we currently support.
