Can't run drc-sim-backend

when i try to run drc sim I get this error: Failed to run /usr/local/bin/drc-sim-backend as user root.

Unable to copy the user's Xauthorization file.

Still have the same terminal error on Ubuntu 18.04

The dev branch should fix issues with Gnome's Wayland.
