Different VSTs for different ASIO inputs

I really love this software, the easy integration into Voicemeeter and the fact that it allows visuals on VSTs (unlike eqAPO) is great BUT I dislike that you cannot run different sets of VSTs on different inputs of an ASIO. I thought the multi-instance feature would allow this, but you cannot open the same ASIO driver you already have open in another instance.

What I'd like to achieve is run my voice plugins through the 1st insert of Voicemeeter, and my guitar plugins through the third. This seems unachievable at this time.

Multichannel operation with ASIO drivers would be a much welcome feature indeed.
