Variable - could we have versioning and a .json file?

Thank you! @rogro82, maybe you have a good reason not to, but is there any chance you could introduce versioning for your releases and create a .json tracking file for adding to custom_updater configuration. I accidentally noticed that you introduced the new architecture, whereas being compatable with custom_updater would have alerted us immediately. Best! Milster
