Significant Delay After "Torrent Finished, Waiting for Download Links" Using Aria2c

What version are you using? [v2.0.119] What OS are you running? Windows 11 Are you using Docker or as a service? Service Which debrid provider are you using? Real-Debrid Which downloader are you using? Aria2c Please attach a log file here with the log setting set to debug (N/A)

I am using the latest version of the Real-Debrid client. Since the internal downloader is deprecated, I have been trying the two external download managers (Bezzad and Aria2c)

Unfortunately, Bezzad's implementation appears to be broken, as downloads are extremely slow and nearly unusable. As a result, I’ve switched to using Aria2c, which generally works better.

However, I have encountered a consistent issue with Aria2c: After adding a torrent, the client will often hang on the message "Torrent finished, waiting for download links" for a considerable long time (one time it took 10 mins) before the download finally starts. This delay occurs every time, regardless of clean installs or different torrent selections.

Steps to reproduce:

Add a torrent to Real-Debrid with Aria2c as the download manager.

Wait for the torrent completion message.

Notice that the client hangs for 5+ minutes at "Torrent finished, waiting for download links."

Eventually, the actual download will begin.

What I've tried:

Clean installs with clean configs of both Aria2c and rdt-client

Testing with different torrents

Expected behavior: Download links should appear and start promptly after the torrent finishes.

Actual behavior: There is a significant, repeatable delay every time.

Additional details:

  • Aria2c latest stable version (1.3.7.0)

Unfortunately logs don't capture this behavior
