I think this was fixed with https://github.com/rogerfar/rdt-client/pull/560, can you verify with the latest release.
Try using the bezzad downloader or aria2, it will greatly improve.

That's working as expected. Radarr / Sonarr are responsible for sending a delete command. So that setting is ignored when it comes from those 2.
This should be fixed in the next version, feel free to comment if it's still broken.
Can you check your browser console and see what that says?
