proxychains socket error or timeout

Hi i cant get my proxychain to work and i dont really know why because i am still new to dealing with this kind of thing but i am hoping someone here can help me out . This is what it looks like when i try to open firefox throw the proxychains (firefox gives me a connection error)

it seems you are using random proxies from some proxylist. those often either don't work at all or are really slow, so they need a high timeout. additionally the sandbox mechanisms of firefox seems to interfere, so in order to figure out whether you can use proxychains like this try with a local proxy you control, for example microsocks.
