I have a similar problem. I use Lively Wallpaper with my Home Assistant and it has been logged in fine for the last year or so, on my desktop. Recently it logged out, I went back through the login instructions... preview, cache, remember me etc. but it defaults back to the main login every time the PC boots up now. Not sure if something has changed or I'm missing something. Windows 10 Pro, running Home Assistant as a website. 20241004_082526.txt

Its this change https://github.com/cefsharp/CefSharp/issues/4668

Its being setup to store in temp folder which is causing disk cache to reset.. will need to rewrite it 🤔

Is there anyway to use the old version of CEF?

Hey, any progress on this? Trying to use Lively with https://slowroads.io, but it keeps forgetting hideUI and other such setting configs... With Disk Cache enabled.

Hey, just checking back here that the new update did the trick, i had to restart the computer after turning on Disk cache for it to work. I didn't need to use the preview feature, the login was remembered by using the wallpaper on the desktop. Thank you so much!

Restart is unusual but i guess some other app was using WebView2 at the time.

A few things:

  • Settings are stored as per screen layout (per, duplicate, span) and screen id.
  • Login needs to be done from the desktop wallpaper itself and not preview.
  • There is a bug double keypress if keyboard is enabled in Lively settings, should work with mouse only.
