This is already fixed in dotty presentation compiler which will be default from next LTS version and Scala Next. I'll add tests for this. 

I don't know why this closed automatically but it seems like some kind of bug in GitHub. I'll reopen this as it is still unfixed for mtags 2 and 3.

I quickly took a look at this issue, the problem is in our SBT plugin which is added to every Scastie snippet. I'll investigate it further in a near future.
