Describe the bug Cant watch anything from race control (web works though)

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. try play any stream
  2. errr: This is usually a temporary error during hostname resolution and means that the local server did not receive a response from an authoritative server. (f1prodlive.akamaized.net:443)

Expected behavior watch a stream

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • windows 10 64bit

F1TV account

  • pro
  • sweden
  • smartdns / no vpn

It seems that you have issues with your DNS configuration. Maybe it is just a firewall issue so try to disable your firewall and see if it works, if it does just add RaceControl to your firewall as allowed/exception. I'm not sure what is the smartdns but might is the issue as well.

No firewall issues and this is intermittent.

I doubt it has anything to do with smartdns because while it does not work on race control I can still play via the web.
