Which version of Race Control and VLC are you using?

Copying video URL works for me inside VLC, though clicking on the VLC button prompts

VLC media player could not start.
Either the command line options were invalid or no plugins were found.

VLC 3.0.8 Vetinari jenkins@24a914c85006 Aug 14 2019 17:18:12
RaceControl 2.1.0.0 Windows 10 Pro

Not sure what's up with that, on my VLC it works fine. Try upgrading to the latest VLC just to be sure. Either way I would recommend to start using the internal player, it has a new video player engine and will be more reliable than VLC.

I was usig VLC 3.0.8 but have now upgraded to 3.0.12

Maybe that solves the problem.

The reason that I use vlc is because I watch the race on 4 monitors Race-Pitlane-Data-Max and i need to set them manually on the same position in the live feed and then start them all at the same time.

I set them on the same position one by one with a command line command to VLC.

I start them all at the same time with a command line command to VLC because your sync in livestreams does not work(yet).

When this would work I would use your internal player !

I must say that you have done a great job developing Race Control.

Please keep me posted on the livestream sync development.

Best regards,

Rick Schwarz

If it still doesn't work with 3.0.12, please paste the debug output from VLC (menu 'Extra' -> 'Messages' -> select 'Debug' verbosity and then open the stream).

Now wirks with 3.0.12 but the play/pause button is grayed out during livestreams but not during video on demand.

Should work during livestreams

Is there a specific reason you are using VLC? I would recommend using the internal player or MPV instead, they are more stable for F1TV than VLC.

The reason that I use vlc is because I watch the race on 4 monitors with 4 separate computers, Race-Pitlane-Data-Max and i need to set them manually on the same position in the live feed and then start them all at the same time.

I do this over the lan with commands

I set them on the same position one by one with a command line command to VLC.

I start them all at the same time with a command line command to VLC because your sync in livestreams does not work(yet).

When this would work I would use your internal player !
