thoughts on where memes that are animated go?
There are some memes that are animated and so have .gif as the extension. Would these fall under the animated folder or memes folder?
Would be nice to have a datacurator matrix chat or something to ask these kind of quick questions.

Both valid, I guess.. I think I would put a gif that is clearly a meme into the memes folder. It's a middle-ground, but I think that's totally fine, as long as you are consistent. (see also https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/cultures/gif)
Images is much more general and you may put whatever you feel into that folder.. Structure is really tied to personal needs.

I created an IRC room way back.. I'm not very active these days, but maybe in the future. I'd like to have something public and easily accessible to people. IRC is too complicated to many, same as matrix. A forum or something might be neat, but there is already a subreddit for many too.
