Would like to copy/move keywords around different robot-definition files

Open tarand opened this issue 10 years ago • 5 comments

My suite contains several tsv-files containing test-case and keyword definition. It is very common that I need to move (or copy) keywords from one tsv-file to another.

I found no means in robotide to do that conveniently. Please add a support!

Hello,

In robotide, I've just tried a keyword drag and drop between several .tsv Suite files, and robotide (1.3) did the trick successfully. Don't you ?

Thanks for that answer!

I retried – and really, it works – sometimes ☹

It is not very reliable – at least in my linux environment.

I'm using windows, keeping version 1.3 (waiting for robot 2.9 to be stable in Ride :-) )

After some other tries, it seems to work only when the drop is done precisely on the file suite name. When i try to drop a keyword from a file to another keyword from another file, nothing happens.

A menu option (move test/kw) could definitely be added.

@HelioGuilherme66 Should a menu option be added?
