It will be nice if I can check-in checkout test cases within RIDE

Could be implemented as a plugin.

-1 if you are going to do it like the Eclipse plug-in. Seriously, I mean this. I have a dev team that was absolutely frustrated in their switch over from svn to git. A fair amount of that frustration came from the git plug-in for Eclipse. Eclipse git would merge binary excel files. Yes it prompted you but it would just to tell you it was doing so and then do it. Let me say that again. Eclipse git would merge binary excel files.

Look. Git is a complicated tool that gives the users a lot of freedom. If you can develop and maintain full git capability within RIDE that does not try to interpret at any point the users intention all the while making it user friendly to use go right ahead. Otherwise I would be cautious about trying to implement git within RIDE.

-100 if you are going to do it like the Eclipse plug-in. or -5 till someone can show me a idea of how they want to integrate git into RIDE and then we can discuss...

Hi, I think this would be a good enhancement to integrate with VCS. I was thinking about this a lot of times. If this will help anyone here is my try to integrate TortoiseSVN with RIDE (as Plugin): https://github.com/ukostas/robotframework-ride-tortoisesvn . Unfortunately this is for Windows only.

Hi, I did not support plugin for a long time already. If you can give me some more details , like RIDE logs or so I can take a look at your issue.
